THE trail running shoes for long distances in technical terrain
With the Vectiv Infinite 2 from The North Face, the name says it all - they make infinite, or seemingly endless, ultra-distance runs even more fun! What is important during such distances? Well, of course - power transfer and comfort. In order to be able to generate the necessary propulsion, a sophisticated interplay of a Pebax foot plate with two different levels of hardness, a rocker midsole and a high-traction SurfaceControl outsole has been utilised. The EVA midsole provides cushioning, the foot plate takes care of power transfer and stability, while the soft outsole brings plenty of grip to any terrain; in this model, with a lug depth that has been increased by 1 mm, to a total of 5 mm in length.
Comfort, protection and lightweight
Of course, a comfortable fit also means a solid hold of your feet inside the shoes, so for this purpose, the tongue has been equipped with wings which partially wrap around your foot. In addition, the layout of the Vectiv Infinite 2 has been optimised to protect your feet in technical and rocky terrain. That’s not to mention that these shoes are lightweight, especially considering the features on offer.
