Sleeping bag for expeditions in arctic conditions
The Alpine ApII from Sea to Summit is a mummy sleeping bag built for those who want to push their limits. Built to serve you reliably on expeditions in high-altitude conditions, the sleeping bag boasts the following performance-oriented features. To prevent cold spots forming around your chest, Sea to Summit has incorporated separate vertical down baffles with a 90/10 fill ratio, which prevent the down shifting to the side and thus ensure maximum insulation around your upper body. Plus, the mummy cut and anatomically shaped foot box keep the warmth close to your body without causing you to feel constricted. Despite the snug fit, there’s still plenty of room for you to sleep comfortably, even with several layers of clothing, if necessary.
Waterproof material and ultra-light bag
The breathable, waterproof outer shell made of NanoShell material provides maximum protection from wind and water. For added warmth, the sleeping bag comes complete with an easily adjustable hood as well. To shield the down from water from the outside and condensation inside the bag, Sea to Summit has treated it with water-repellent ULTRA-DRY Down. In other words, there’s little to no chance of moisture finding its way to the insulation – be it from the inside or the outside.
The two-way YKK #5 zip makes it easy to get in the bag and gives you a variable ventilation option. An ultra-light Ultra-Sil compression bag is included. The draught tube features anti-snag material and prevents heat loss. Filled with high-quality 850+ Loft ULTRA-DRY goose down, the Alpine II mummy sleeping bag from Sea to Summit is a prime choice for extreme conditions.
