The Marathon Plus Perf 28'' (40-635) SmartGuard T-Skin from Schwalbe is the most puncture-proof pneumatic tyre and can rightly call itself an unpuncturable tyre. In addition to its outstanding puncture protection, it impresses with many other qualities too. The 5 mm thick SmartGuard panel has a clear advantage over all imitation products in terms of rolling resistance.
The SmartGuard is made from recycled rubber from old latex products. In addition, the "anti-ageing" sidewall endures the typical overloads caused by insufficient air pressure for much longer before it develops ugly cracks. The Marathon Plus is an ideal choice for e-bikes due to these many excellent properties. Plus, it’s reflective stripes provide increased visibility in road traffic.
Note:
- A puncture can never be completely ruled out. However, with the Marathon Plus bike tyre you are well protected against typical puncture hazards, such as broken glass or debris.
- For all Marathon Plus tyres, be sure to use a pressure gauge to set the air pressure. Due to their special construction, a pressure test using your thumb is not sufficient.
