Product description
Legendary trail running shoes with a coarse tread
Now in its sixth version, the Speedcross 6 GORE-TEX from Salomon are trail running veterans. They are and remain shoes for challenging trail runs on almost any surface, but especially on wet and soft trails.
Upper material
The shoes are well made and provide protection against scree and sharp roots. The tongue is fully welded to the upper to eliminate seams and reduce the risk of chafing. Thanks to the integrated GORE-TEX membrane, the shoes are also waterproof.
Rapid lacing system
Salomon equipped the shoes with the proven Quicklace lacing system. This is very easy to use and ensures a firm and comfortable fit. On the outside, there are pockets for the laces in which the Quicklace can be safely stowed away.
Midsole
The shoes are equipped with a midsole that will cushion your every step without compromising on power transfer and responsiveness. The 10 mm height difference between the heel and forefoot is designed for long distances. Plus, their heel height is 33 mm.
Outsole
The rugged sole with the legendary 5mm deep V lugs has been the trademark of the Speedcross from the very beginning. The sixth version also offers excellent traction, especially on wet and soft surfaces. However, the shoes are less suitable for very hard, dry trails.
Fit
The Speedcross 6 GORE-TEX provide excellent heel support and have a mid-width forefoot. They are also fitted with an Ortholite insole and a soft cushioning system. This ensures a secure grip even on the most challenging trails, while providing the comfort you need for long journeys.
