Product description
A weatherproof women's down jacket for mountaineering
The Women's Ortles Heavy RDS Down Jacket from Salewa is built to keep you warm in alpine terrain. Featuring a two-layer outer, it’s guaranteed to be waterproof and windproof, so you’ll be optimally protected against the elements. Its material is also breathable, so moisture won’t accumulate inside. In addition, it has a high-quality down fill for toasty warmth and the 3D baffles will prevent cold bridges from forming. It also has an extra high cut collar to protect your neck and a back flap on the zip to prevent heat from escaping.
Clever features for technically demanding terrain
Thanks to the special sleeve construction and gusset inserts, you’ll have lots of mobility and the sleeves won’t slip even whilst climbing. Some other great features include the adjustable hem for enhanced comfort, the helmet-compatible, adjustable hood and the sleeves that provide enough space for wearing gloves. It even comes with a stuff sack, in which you can easily and compactly stow away the jacket. It’s a must-have for alpine adventures!

The Salewa Committed symbol indicates products that meet strict internal criteria at Salewa with regard to environmental and social responsibility. A Salewa product must meet two mandatory criteria and at least one additional criterion.
The mandatory criteria include: 1. Chemicals verified: more than 90% of the product weight meets at least one of the following criteria: a) the main fabric (for the entire product) has been chemically tested according to Oberalp's chemical guideline or b) the main fabric is bluesign-certified. 2. Factory monitored for social standards: the second obligatory criterion is that the factory where the product has been manufactured has been audited for social standards and working conditions by external audits.
The additional criteria, depending on the product, include upcycling, recycling, certain material compositions, PFC-free coatings or responsibly sourced down.
