The perfect boots for via ferrata and technical approaches: the Wildfire Edge Mid GTX from Salewa. The shoes feature a suede upper that is protected by a durable Exa Shell. As for the lining, it has a GORE-TEX membrane to keep your feet dry and ensure a pleasant microclimate inside the boots. Plus, they have an elastic gaiter to prevent dirt from getting inside. And, the climbing-typical lacing that reaches the toes ensures a perfect fit.
In addition, they feature a grippy Pomoca Speed MTN Pro outsole that is made for various types of terrain and even have a climbing zone at the toes to aid on climbing passages. Plus, boasting a Switchfit system at the heel, you can switch the boots between the hiking and climbing modes to either increase precision whilst climbing or comfort when hiking. As for the insole, it’s been outfitted with a special plate for enhanced stability at the toes, while keeping the rest of the foot flexible.
