Product description
Ideal for alpine adventures all year round
The Ortles Heavy 2 Powertex RDS Down Jacket by Salewa is an absolute must-have for mountaineering and ski touring. This warm, comfortable and functional down jacket effectively keeps the elements at bay. Its ergonomic design makes optimal use of the high-quality material blend. The outer and inner both consist of a fine and elastic, but at the same time durable ripstop nylon. In between these two, this jacket is filled with RDS-certified duck down with a fill power of 750 cuin that was placed in box baffles using the body mapping technology.
Incredible features
The sophisticated design lets the numerous functional features shine. This jacket for example boasts a lined, helmet-compatible and multi-point adjustable hood, an adjustable hem and cuffs with gusset inserts, making them ideal for wearing gloves. On the torso of this jacket, special design elements ensure a wide range of motion and a perfect fit. The cleverly placed pockets with their warm lining and the durable front zip with a storm flap ensure a convenient handling and make this jacket even more comfortable to wear. Plus, the Ortles Heavy 2 down jacket can be compressed to an amazingly small pack size!

The Salewa Committed symbol indicates products that meet strict internal criteria at Salewa with regard to environmental and social responsibility. A Salewa product must meet two mandatory criteria and at least one additional criterion.
The mandatory criteria include: 1. Chemicals verified: more than 90% of the product weight meets at least one of the following criteria: a) the main fabric (for the entire product) has been chemically tested according to Oberalp's chemical guideline or b) the main fabric is bluesign-certified. 2. Factory monitored for social standards: the second obligatory criterion is that the factory where the product has been manufactured has been audited for social standards and working conditions by external audits.
The additional criteria, depending on the product, include upcycling, recycling, certain material compositions, PFC-free coatings or responsibly sourced down.
