Product description
The Fairbanks tent from Robens is reminiscent of a tepee with the addition of a vestibule that extends far toward the front, giving you plenty of room for your kit. This single-wall four-man tent is extremely easy to set up thanks to the single light alloy pole. The tent is particularly well suited for camping in mild climates. Thanks to the high, slightly curved centre pole construction, entry is easy and you can even stand upright in the centre of the tent. This makes for quite the pleasant atmosphere. Plus, four people can sleep next to each other comfortably as well. To prevent any pesky insects getting inside and disturbing your sleep, the tent comes complete with a mosquito net. The Fairbanks tepee is made of strong, air-permeable and water-resistant HydroTex Polycotton and a tough polyester floor with a hydrostatic head of 5000 mm. The groundsheet is sewn in. Another clever design element is the large entrance with an arch-shaped 2-way zip. For ventilation, there is a new cowl protected top mesh vent. As for stability in stormy conditions, the tent is extremely sturdy thanks to the centre pole and the slanted aerodynamic tent walls that you wouldn't necessarily expect from such a high single-wall tent. The results of Robens? wind test have show that the tent is built to withstand wind speeds classified as 12 on the Beaufort scale, meaning it can take forces equivalent to a hurricane when properly pitched.
