The X-Alp Launch cycling shoes from Pearl Izumi stand for what cyclists love most about flat pedals: freedom of movement and versatility.
Since the sole is reinforced with a nylon plate, the shoes - although not click pedal compatible - impress with a particularly efficient power transfer when pedalling. The PinLoc outsole, made from premium Goodyear rubber, has an arrowhead pattern for excellent grip. In addition, the EVA midsole provides comfortable cushioning for hard landings and a reinforced toe area offers extra protection against injuries.
Thanks to the BOA twist lock, you can adjust the fit with the outmost precision and even readjust it while riding. Plus, the one-piece upper is made from durable Cordura, so the shoes dry very quickly with perforation openings further ensuring a pleasant foot climate.
The X-Alp Launch are simply successful all round.
