The Probe Carbon 240 Short from Ortovox is a very lightweight, short and reliable avalanche probe made from carbon, which is an essential piece of emergency equipment when touring in avalanche-prone terrain. Thanks to a PFA quick-release system and the steel cable tensioning system, its 38.5 cm-long segments extend to their full length of 240 cm in a flash. Other important details include the large tip and a clear depth marker at 1.5 m. All in all, the Probe 240 offers easy and quick handling combined with high effectiveness, while still remaining lightweight and compact.
