The Approach Hood from Mons Royale is a tour de force for those on the hunt for the optimum warmth-to-weight ratio. Its special fabric is designed in such a way that it can trap a lot of air, despite the small amount of fabric, to provide excellent warmth. At the same time, the combination of merino wool and synthetic fibre is ideally suited to wicking moisture away from the body quickly.
Merino wool has the great advantage that it is naturally odour-inhibiting and still warms you even if it gets damp. In addition, mesh panels are featured to offer even better ventilation. Meanwhile, the chest pocket is set a little higher to make it easier to reach beneath an outer jacket.
