Product description
The Nordwand Light HS Hooded Jacket from Mammut is a top product from the Eiger Extreme collection. As you may have guessed from the collection’s name, the jacket is built for climbing the Eiger north face. The hybrid hardshell jacket weighs about 226 grams, so it’s incredibly lightweight, and it’s extremely breathable, tear-resistant and abrasion-resistant.
Plus, it’s equipped with a triple-layer laminate at some areas, such as the shoulders, upper arms and the hood. The rest of the jacket has a 2.5 layer laminate, which is very lightweight and ensures vapour-permeable properties. Despite its minimalistic design, the Nordwand Light HS Hooded Jacket is brimming with so many practical features.
Some of these features include the storm-proof, helmet-compatible hood with brim that can be adjusted vertically and horizontally with just one pull, the water-repellent YKK Vislon two-way zip that allows easy access to the harness and the stuff sack in which you can compactly stow away the jacket. The articulated sleeves and slightly asymmetrical elastic cuffs increase comfort, while the reflective details enhance visibility.
