The Free 28 Removable Airbag 3.0 from Mammut is an avalanche backpack with excellent safety features, plenty of storage space and a comfortable fit for touring!
Plenty of space, comfortable fit and professional safety
The backpack features a 28L main compartment that’s easily accessible from both the top and the back. There is a quickly accessible emergency compartment for avalanche equipment, a pocket for a radio, numerous attachment options for skis, a snowboard, ice axes and poles as well as a safety label with information for emergencies. The padded shoulder straps, the extra wide hip belt, the chest strap with the emergency whistle and the ergonomic 3D back ensure an optimal fit and long-lasting comfort.
The backpack’s greatest feature includes the Removable Airbag System 3.0, which can be removed and used with compatible backpacks. It has a height-adjustable deployment mechanism that’s easy and quick to operate in an emergency. The airbag can be fully inflated in three seconds and its orange signal colour makes it easy for others to see.
