In addition, thanks to its medium diameter, the rope will lie nicely in your hand during belaying and it’ll run smoothly through most belay devices. Of course, it also has a centre mark, which is very useful on long routes and when abseiling. As for its design, each rope has a unique pattern due to the special manufacturing process.
