If you're in the market for a high-quality, waterproof and breathable trail running shoe for snow and mud , you'll definitely have to have a look at the Women's Tempesta GTX from La Sportiva. Built on a normal last and equipped with a bootie-like collar, this comfortable trail shoe is perfect for training runs through mud, snow and debris in the wintertime.The FriXion outsole will provide excellent grip on soft surfaces. The sole is also compatible with AT Grip Spikes, so you can get the grip you need on icy trails if and when necessary. The EVA midsole and the Ortholite footbed provide solid cushioning, whilst the torsion stabiliser serves to give you a bit more stability. La Sportiva also incorporated a waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX membrane into the shoe to keep your feet nice and dry. Above that, there is a breathable, water-repellent and scratch-resistant single mesh with no seams for maximum durability. The TPU overlay at the toe will protect your foot from debris and roots.The Women's Tempesta GTX is an excellent shoe for challenging trail runs in the cold!
