Product description
With the Abisko Lite 1, Fjällräven managed to make a tent that provides protection and durability without all the weight! This 1-man tunnel tent is easy to pitch and anchor to the ground and is very stable. For the outer tent, Fjällräven developed a new technique that made it possible to use different material thicknesses one piece of material without a bunch of obtrusive seams. For the top, 20D Triple Ripstop Nylon was used, whilst the bottom features the stronger 40D fabric. The flysheet fabric has been treated with four layers of silicone and has a hydrostatic head of 3,000mm. The floor has a hydrostatic head of 6,000mm. Fjällräven decided against taping the seams on this 1-man tent and instead folded them. With folded seams, each stitch goes through four layers of fabric. Fjällräven used a special expandable thread that passes through small holes, making the seams waterproof. Since the flysheet and the inner tent are connected, pitching the tent is extremely quick and easy, even in windy and bad weather conditions. Plus, the inner tent will always stay dry. Clever little details, such as the colour-coded and siliconised pole sleeves, will make pitching much easier after a long, hard day of walking. The effective ventilation of the inner tent can be adjusted according to the respective conditions. Plus, it has a mosquito net to protect you from getting attack by the little buggers. If it's really warm outside, you'll love the fact that the head and foot end can be rolled up! Another practical feature, especially in the dark: the 2mm Dyneema guy lines are reflective, which minimises the risk you tripping over them. The high-quality poles are by DAC. Plus, the poles have space for double poles (not included). In order to make tent life a wee bit easier on your solo adventures, Fjällräven has equipped the Abisko Lite 1 with all sorts of organiser pockets and features on the interior. There are 2 mesh pockets on the sides as well as a clothesline for drying your wet clothes, all of which make the 1-man tent that much more comfortable!
