The backpack is equipped with several loops to which you can conveniently attach your walking poles and ice axes. You can attach some other gear, such as your climbing helmet, to the daisy chain system. Another great feature includes the preformed back padding made of soft foam, which can even be removed if you want the backpack to be lighter. Plus, it’s outfitted with compression straps, so you’ll be able to quickly adjust the volume. Some other great features include the two pockets on the hip belt, the lid pocket, and the large main compartment that’s accessible from the side, so you’ll be able to stow away some food and a change of clothes. Of course, the backpack’s outer is water-repellent to protect your essentials against moisture. The Exped Verglas 40 is completed by a padded bottom and a modern access to the inner compartment.
