Product description
Four-season tent for alpine tours and trekking
If you’re an alpinist or a long distance hiker, then you need to check out the Orion II UL 2-person tent from Exped. No matter what time of year it is and what the weather is like, the lightweight tent will ensure you can have a good night’s sleep and protect you against the rain, wind and cold. The freestanding tent doesn’t require lots of space for pitching, yet offers plenty of room for lying down, sitting and storing away your luggage.
The Exped gable-tunnel tent
The Orion II UL from Exped is a tunnel tent with an extra gable. The special construction with the two gable poles that go down to the floor offers good stability and creates a spacious entrance on each side. In addition to the 220 x 130 cm sleeping area, there is a comfortable 2.2 m² vestibule, which provides enough space for your mountaineering backpack, boots and equipment. Plus, thanks to the gable-tunnel construction and the steep outer walls, the tent has an interior height of 125 cm, so even taller people can sit down and still have some headroom.
The lightweight and stable Orion II Ultralight from Exped features a 15D ripstop nylon flysheet with a silicone and PU coating, a 15D ripstop nylon inner tent with 20D no-see-um mosquito net and a 40D ripstop nylon tent floor. The floor has a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm to keep out moisture. The lightweight tent construction is supported by Featherlite NFL 9.3 mm TH72M aluminium poles manufactured by DAC and perfectly rounds off the features.
The features at a glance:
- Lightweight touring tent for trekking and alpine tours
- Mixture of tunnel and gable tent
- Two side entrances and vestibules
- Weatherproof and spacious design
