Product description
Aramid fibres for enhanced cut resistance
The Starling Protect Pro Dry 8.2 mm from Edelrid can take on sharp edges, increased friction and a harder pace with ease. The half rope has been equipped with a special technology that makes it particularly resistant to mechanical influences. Thanks to the special braiding process and the combination of high-strength aramid and polyester fibres, the rope has excellent cut resistance.
Double standard for twin and half ropes
In addition to its standard as a dynamic half rope, the rope is also certified as a twin rope, making it super versatile. Plus, the rope is also great for ice and glacier tours thanks to its core-sheath treatment. The treatment prevents both water and dirt from penetrating the rope. It’s also equipped with a Thermoshield treatment that enhances handling and ensures the rope can lie nicely in your hands, especially whilst belaying. Plus, the core and sheath have been perfectly incorporated into each other thanks to a heat treatment, so the rope is guaranteed to be both soft and compact, and it’ll neither shrink nor stiffen.
