The convenient rolltop closure is really easy to open and really seals up the bag. Speaking of seals, the 59-litre main compartment is completely waterproof, so the contents will stay bone dry, even if you get caught in heavy rain. There is an elastic, adjustable 4-point cargo net on the outside, which also happens to be pretty heavy duty. There is one side pocket for a water bottle as well. The shoulder straps are adjustable, and the adjustable sternum strap will provide additional stability.
