A carabiner that soles the orientation issue: the Black Diamond GridLock Screwgate. You'll never have to deal with cross-loaded carabiner again! The way it works is so simple and obvious when you see it that it really makes you wonder why nobody thought of it earlier!Apart from the clever Gridlock safety feature, the GridLock Screwgate is a typical HMS screwgate carabiner. The pear-shape allows for dynamic belaying using a Munter Hitch or belay device. The rounded shape allows for smooth rope feeding.If you look closely at the shape of the carabiner, you'll notice a slight asymmetry, which transfers the main load to the strong carabiner spine. The GridLock Screwgate is a carabiner you'll only benefit from!
