Softshell jacket with a helmet-compatible hood
The Alpine Start Hoody from Black Diamond is an extremely lightweight men's softshell jacket with practical features for climbers. This jacket boasts a helmet-compatible hood that you can easily cinch down with a single hand by using the drawstring at the back. In addition, the lightweight, stretchy material allows the jacket to be compressed to an extremely small pack size and stowed away in its own internal chest pocket. This pocket has a loop to which you can attach the jacket to your climbing harness using a carabiner.
The jacket features a close-fitting cut and stretch fabric, which are designed for maximum freedom of movement when climbing. Plus, the zipped chest pocket keeps your smartphone and/or tissues close at hand.
