Product description
A light hiking rope for non-technical mountaineering
Whether you need a twin rope for mental support on ridge walks, for non-technical mountaineering or ski tours, then look no further than the Rando 8 mm from Beal. With its 8 millimetre rope diameter and weight per metre of only 36 g, it takes up very little space in your bag and can withstand the fall of a hiking partner in steep terrain if necessary.
Important: when tying in one after the other, Beal recommends using one strand from the twin rope, for example when you’re hiking with children. The use of the Rando 8 mm as a single rope for climbing is prohibited. Only the use of both rope strands provides the necessary safety reserves in the event of a lead fall.
Service life of the rope
Beal ropes have a service life of maximum 15 years from the date of manufacturing (5 years storage + 10 years use). Depending on the frequency of use or damage, the service life will be reduced.
