Perfect for freeriding and ski touring: the Vario Zip-On 18 Ultralight from ABS is a very lightweight zip-on for Vario and Silver base units that adds an additional 18 litres of storage!By zipping this to your base unit, you will not only have an avalanche airbag but also 18 litres of storage for food and clothing. Plus, there are two easily accessible side pockets for other items, like skins. You can even carry bulkier pieces of kit in this zip-on pack, thanks to the mounts for skis/snowboard, your helmet and snowshoes. Your avalanche safety equipment (probe and shovel) can also be stored in the pack using the internal mount.
